
Steamed yeast dough
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. I came across a recipe for steamed buns made from yeast dough. I tried it—and I must admit, they are delicious. There's no need to bake them, which is much healthier for the stomach. Serve with tea or coffee.

Warm the milk to 40 degrees, dissolve yeast, sugar, and salt in it. Add soft butter and egg. Mix well.

Sift the flour into the dough. Mix first with a spatula, then with your hands.

Knead the dough, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours.

Roll out the dough into a flatbread and brush it with butter.

Cut the dough into strips. Roll each strip into a small roll.

Grease the surface for steaming. Place the buns (cut side up).

Steam the buns for 40 minutes.

Brush hot buns with butter and serve.
