Yeast dough for buns

180 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Homemade baked goods for tea. Enriched dough can be made using either dry or fresh yeast. Although the first option is faster and simpler, such dough is better suited for pies and pizza. Fresh yeast, on the other hand, produces a very light and airy dough, perfect for buns. For making yeast dough for buns, I recommend using butter instead of margarine or spread, as well as homemade milk and fresh compressed yeast. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the dough: they should all be at room temperature.

    Step 2

Dissolve fresh yeast in half a cup of warm milk (or water). Add a teaspoon of sugar, stir, and place in a warm spot to rise. If a foamy layer with bubbles forms on the surface, the yeast is ready to use in your recipe.

Melt the butter, add warm milk, then beat in the eggs, and add salt and sugar. Mix well and add the risen yeast to the dough.

Then gradually add the flour, which should be sifted. First add 300 grams, then the rest.

The most important thing is to knead the dough thoroughly. The dough should turn out light and airy, and it should not stick to your hands. Place the dough in a large bowl or pot in a warm spot (make sure there are no drafts). When the dough rises, it will double in size. Punch it down, and then you can start baking the buns.

This is what the finished yeast dough for buns looks like. If desired, you can use it not only for buns, but also for sweet buns or pies.
