Draniki with Machanka

50 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

It works both for a holiday and for everyday meals. Draniki with machanka are very easy to make. Machanka comes from the word “to dip.” There are quite a few recipes for this sauce. There is a purely meat machanka made from sausage products and fatback, and there is a dairy one made from cottage cheese with sour cream. I suggest something in between. I’ll say right away that the dish is very high in calories and, from the perspective of modern trends, not very healthy. But if you love it, you can treat yourself once in a while. It can be served warm or chilled.
