
Homemade bun
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. A traditional French flat bun covered with egg custard. Best served fresh. Can be served with tea or coffee.

Step 1

Heat the milk, then pour it into a bowl with 50 ml of cream and 30 g of powdered sugar. Add 250 g of flour, 20 g of yeast, and 2 eggs. Mix with a mixer, then gradually add 130 g of butter. Continue mixing for several minutes until the mixture becomes smooth. Place the dough under a damp towel in a warm place for 2 hours.

Meanwhile, prepare the cream: In a bowl, mix 50 g of powdered sugar, 10 g of vanilla sugar, 3 egg yolks, and 200 ml of cream.

When the dough has risen, divide it into two parts. Place each half into a dish, spread evenly, cover with a towel, and let it rest for an hour.

At the end of this period, preheat the oven to 200°C. Make a small indentation in the dough for the cream. Pour half of the cream into the center of each pie and place in the oven.

Remove from the oven when the bun turns golden brown, after about 25 minutes.
