    1. Prepare the necessary ingredients: chop the garlic with a knife, add salt, and rub it well with the salt until the garlic begins to release its essential oils.

    2. Finely chop the herbs—basil and parsley—and add them to the garlic and salt. Add pine nuts, toasted in a dry skillet for three minutes, to the herbs.
