Pass the tomatoes and onions through a meat grinder.

In a large saucepan, combine all the spices, salt, vinegar, and sugar.

Then pour in the tomato mixture. Simmer over low heat for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

After this, remove the bay leaf from the ketchup. Prepare sterilized jars with lids.
