Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the starter for your future bread. To make the starter, mix the sourdough starter, 40 grams of water, and 60 grams of sifted flour in a glass bowl.
- 2
Step 2

Cover the resulting starter with plastic wrap and place it in a warm spot to rise. You can put it in the oven with the lowest heat setting. After two hours, the starter should increase several times in volume.

Step 3

Pour milk into a saucepan. Heat it on the stove until boiling, then add a piece of butter, salt, and sugar to the milk. Stir until the ingredients dissolve. Cool the milk until it is barely warm.

Step 4

Pour warm milk and 100 grams of water, which should also not be cold, into the sponge. Sift the flour and add it in parts, kneading the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Roll the dough into a ball and let it rise in a warm place. After an hour, knead it with your hands and put it back in a warm place. Repeat the process several times.

Step 6

Place the well-risen dough into a baking dish greased with vegetable oil. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Brush the top of the bread with milk for a golden crust and bake for forty minutes. Let the baked bread cool down, then serve.
