Step 1

This recipe is popular because it doesn't require preparing a starter. You can start making the dough right away. To do this, sift both types of flour into a large bowl, add the dry yeast, and mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Slightly warm the water until it is lukewarm. Dissolve salt and honey in it. Pour kefir into the flour and mix. Then add the water with salt and honey, as well as vegetable oil, and mix again. The mixture should be quite sticky.

Step 3

Take the pan in which you will bake the bread. Grease it with vegetable oil so that the finished bread easily releases from the sides and bottom of the pan. Place the dough into the pan and leave it in a warm place to rise, covered with a towel.

Step 4

After forty minutes, the dough should rise and double or triple in size. Punch it down with your hands and let it rise again. Punch down the dough once more and let it rise again.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place the pan with the dough in it, brushing the dough with milk to get a golden crust on the bread. Bake for 40 minutes until fully cooked. Let the bread cool, slice it, and serve.
