Homemade wine from grapes
Description
Be sure to try making grape wine using this recipe! You can use any grapes; I used seedless dark ones. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
1. Remove the grapes from the clusters. In an enameled bucket, mash the grapes by hand or with a masher in small batches until juice appears.
- 2
Step 2
2. Cover the container with grapes with gauze and leave it to ferment in a warm place for about 4-5 days. Stir the grape mixture twice a day with a wooden spoon.
- 3
Step 3
3. After the crushed grapes rise, pour them onto a sieve to drain the juice, then squeeze the juice through cheesecloth.
- 4
Step 4
4. Pour the clear grape juice into clean jars, add granulated sugar, and mix well.
- 5
Step 5
5. Place a clean medical glove over the mouth of the jar, poke several small holes in the fingertips of the glove with a needle, and tightly secure it around the rim with a rubber band.

Step 6
6. Leave the wine to ferment for 2-3 weeks at room temperature. Be sure to monitor the glove. At the beginning of the process, it will inflate, and when it deflates, this is a sign that the wine is ready.

Step 7
7. After the yeast has settled, the wine has cleared, and the bubbles have stopped appearing, carefully strain it and seal it with a cork. It is important that the yeast does not get into the clean bottles.
