Step 1

1. Strawberry jam is prized not only for its attractive appearance, but also for its health benefits. You can preserve all the berries’ beneficial properties even when making strawberry jam for the winter. A few hours—and the hot jam will be ready to seal in jars. So let’s start by sorting through the berries, washing them thoroughly, and removing the stems.

3. After that, remove the strawberries from the heat, let them cool slightly, and blend the entire mixture in a blender until smooth. Then return to the heat and simmer over very low heat for another 20 minutes or so.

4. Pour the finished jam into jars and seal them. The jars must be sterilized. If you are not satisfied with the thickness of the jam, add more sugar (or gelatin diluted in advance) and simmer a little longer.
