Dried apricot jam

Description

A simple way to prepare ahead. Apricot jam is perfect for breakfast. I serve it with cottage cheese, pancakes, and fritters. I also use it for desserts. I add it to ice cream and to pies. The apricot jam recipe is literally four steps—nothing complicated. When choosing apricots for the jam, make sure they are dried naturally, without sugar or other preservatives. Then your jam will turn out delicious. For extra flavor, you can add a clove bud or a cinnamon stick to the pot while the apricot jam cooks. But don’t forget to remove it before pouring the jam into jars. Enjoy! Store in a cool, dark place.

First, cover the dried apricots with water so the water completely covers them, and leave overnight. If you are making jam on a weekend, you can cover the dried apricots with water in the morning and start the rest of the preparation after lunch.

Pour the still-hot apricot jam into sterilized jars. Seal the jars and wrap them in a blanket. Once the jam has cooled, after at least two days, you can serve it.
