Description

The recipe won’t take much time. For cottage cheese waffles, use ripe bananas with dark spots on the peel—they give the baked goods the brightest aroma and natural sweetness. This amount of ingredients yields 6. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

    Prepare the ingredients. Use cottage cheese as you prefer; low-fat is fine. You can add vanillin or cinnamon to the waffles to taste.

    Peel the banana, place it in a bowl and mash it with a fork.

    Add the remaining ingredients to the banana puree: flour, baking powder, sugar substitute, eggs, cottage cheese.

    Blend all the ingredients with an immersion blender. You get a smooth, fairly thick batter for soft waffles. In consistency, the batter is similar to pancake batter.

    Preheat a waffle iron fitted with Viennese waffle plates thoroughly and brush the plates with coconut oil. Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into each cavity, then close the waffle iron lid so the top and bottom plates meet.
