Children's cake with fondant made by hand
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Let's make a children's cake with fondant at home. Fondant is like playdough for adults ;) With just a bit of imagination, you can sculpt various decorative designs. Fondant can be attached in different ways—sometimes with honey, sometimes with a special solution made of egg whites and powdered sugar. Light pieces can be secured with plain water. Good luck! Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take the fondant out of the refrigerator. Once it has slightly "warmed up," roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of a few millimeters. The width of the fondant sheet should be sufficient to completely cover the cake.
- 2
Step 2

Spray the biscuit with water (or syrup). Place a sheet of fondant on top.
- 3
Step 3

Carefully tuck the edges of the fondant under the cake, smoothing it out to avoid wrinkles. Trim off any excess parts.
- 4
Step 4

We also roll out the green gum paste. Cut out a large oval, which will serve as the tree's crown.
- 5
Step 5

Using manicure scissors, cut out the grass.
- 6
Step 6

Cut the tree trunk from brown fondant. Attach everything to the cake.
- 7
Step 7

From the leftover marzipan, you can shape little birds or other thematic figures. Immediately place the cake in the refrigerator to set.
