Children's cottage cheese casserole
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To make a fluffy children's cottage cheese casserole, it's best to use higher-fat cottage cheese with fine grains. The drier and more crumbly the cottage cheese, the drier and firmer the casserole will turn out. In addition to apples, you can also add dried fruits or berries to the casserole. Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.

Step 2

Wash the apples and cut them into small pieces (you can even make them very small). If the skin is too tough, I recommend peeling it off. Set aside a couple of nice apple slices for decoration. Mash the cottage cheese with a fork, then add sugar, semolina, apples, and egg.

Step 3

Mix everything well and let it sit for about 5–10 minutes so the semolina can swell.

Step 4

Grease a baking dish with butter, then evenly spread the cottage cheese mixture in it. Top with apple slices. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, and place the casserole inside.

Step 5

After 20 minutes, take the casserole out, brush it with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Return the casserole back to the oven for another 20–25 minutes. If you prefer a browner crust, leave the casserole in the oven longer. On average, it takes 40 minutes to cook.

Step 6

Before serving, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar, drizzle with sour cream, or top with jam.
