Dessert waffles
Description
I want to clarify that the recipe is for thick, soft waffles, not for thin and crispy ones! The waffles turn out moderately sweet; if you want them less sweet, reduce the amount of sugar. You can melt the butter right away so that it cools down until you need it. And I will explain in detail, serve them cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the whites with a pinch of salt until foamy, then gradually add 1/3 of the sugar and beat until soft peaks.
- 3
Step 3

Beat the yolks with hot water until foamy, then add the remaining sugar, vanilla and lemon juice.
- 4
Step 4

Combine the whites and yolks. Gently fold with a spatula using a bottom‑up motion. Add the cooled melted butter.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the flour with the leavening agent, sift it, and add it to the prepared mixture. Stir with a spatula until the dough is uniform.
- 6
Step 6

Place the batter in a waffle iron greased with vegetable oil and bake the waffles. I put about 1.5–2 tbsp of batter for one serving of waffles.
- 7
Step 7

Serve with jam, condensed milk, or with a scoop of ice cream and syrup.
