Dessert in a glass
Description
The recipe won't take much time. For the dessert, you'll need coarse cookies—I used homemade oat cookies—cottage cheese, plain unsweetened yogurt, cherries, and sugar. I'd like to point out that you can use either fresh or frozen cherries, as long as they're pitted! There's no need to thaw frozen cherries beforehand—just add them straight into the pot and bring to a boil over low heat. Don't worry about burning; just keep stirring. A lot of juice will be released during cooking. The jam will be thick when hot, but it will become even denser as it cools. Keep the finished dessert in the refrigerator until serving; all the layers will absorb the flavors, making the dessert softer and more tender. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Let's get started!
- 2
Step 2

Place the cherries in a saucepan, set over medium heat, and bring to a boil. Do not add anything—the cherries will release their juice and cook in their own juice for 10 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Meanwhile, mix the sugar and starch.
- 4
Step 4

The cherries have cooked down, there is enough liquid.
- 5
Step 5

Add the starch with the sugar and mix quickly.
- 6
Step 6

Bring the cherries with starch and sugar to a boil, then remove from heat. The mixture will be thick and will become denser as it cools, like jelly.
- 7
Step 7

Mix the cottage cheese with yogurt. I added a tablespoon of sugar, but it's optional—adjust according to your taste.
- 8
Step 8

Place the cookies in the grinder bowl.
- 9
Step 9

Turn on the chopper for a couple of minutes; I don't chop it too finely, so that there are still large crumbs.
- 10
Step 10

Divide the crumbs into two parts, and distribute the first part into 5 cups.
- 11
Step 11

Then place 2 tablespoons of the cottage cheese-yogurt mixture on each.
- 12
Step 12

Spread half of the cherry jam.
- 13
Step 13

Repeat the layers again. Refrigerate the dessert for 1 hour.
- 14
Step 14

Garnish to taste before serving.
- 15
Step 15

Done.
