
Almond Dessert
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I love this dessert also because it doesn't require baking! You can safely replace almonds with other nuts, for example, hazelnuts, or even use a mix of several kinds—this way you'll get a new flavor each time. You can use milk or white chocolate. Adjust the recipe to your taste and enjoy. Serve chilled.

1. Place the almonds on a baking sheet and put them in an oven preheated to 175 degrees for 12–14 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Remove the almonds from the oven and let them cool. Then grind them in a food processor.

2. Place the butter, corn syrup, salt, and water into a saucepan and set over heat. Cook until a homogeneous mixture forms, 1–3 minutes.

3. Pour the sugar into the center of the saucepan, cover with a lid, and cook without stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.

4. When the sugar has dissolved, remove the lid and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 148 degrees.

5. Turn off the heat, add vanilla and half of the crushed almonds, mix well.

6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the oil-nut mixture evenly.

7. Spread the chocolate on top, pressing it in slightly.

8. Let the chocolate melt and, using a brush, spread it over the entire surface.

9. Sprinkle the remaining crushed almonds over the melted chocolate and let it cool, then refrigerate for 1 hour.
