Dessert in a glass
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Contrary to popular belief, the "Napoleon" dessert is made not from puff pastry, but from shortcrust pastry, just like the classic "Napoleon" cake. However, you can simplify the preparation process and make it in a lazier way. Simply fry the shortcrust crumbs in a pan. Serve chilled.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Pour the flour for the dough into a deep container. Add salt and sugar required for the dough. Grate cold butter on a coarse grater. Mix thoroughly until you get a crumbly mixture. Do not add water; you need a crumbly dough texture.

Pour the crumbs into a frying pan and place the pan on the stove over medium heat.

Toast the crumb mixture until golden brown, making sure it doesn't burn. This will take approximately 8–10 minutes.

Pour sugar into a saucepan or pot with a non-stick bottom and add egg yolks. You won't need the egg whites for this recipe; you can use them to prepare another dish.

Pour in milk of any fat content and whisk everything with a whisk.

Add the premium wheat flour and whisk everything once again with a whisk.

Place the container on the stove over medium heat. Simmer the custard until thickened, about 6-10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and move the container to a cold place to cool the custard.

Once both the crumb base and the cream have cooled, proceed to assemble the desserts. Place 2 tablespoons of the crumb base into glasses or cups.

Then place 2 tbsp of pastry cream each.

Then again the crumb base and the cream. And so on, until the entire dessert is completely assembled.

Chill the delicious dessert for about 1 hour and serve, decorated to your taste.
