Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the raisins and soak them in hot water. Dissolve the gelatin in 150 ml of cold or slightly warm water. Heat on the stove, stirring, then set aside to cool slightly. In another bowl, dissolve the green jelly by pouring 300 ml of hot water over it.

Step 2

Pour the cookies or crackers into a bowl. Break them into pieces by hand. You can use available tools, but don't overdo it. We need pieces of cookies, not crumbs. However, the chocolate should be finely chopped. Carefully chop it with a knife. Take out the soaked raisins from the water.

Step 3

Place the sour cream into a saucepan. Add sugar, vanilla, and mix. Pour in warm, still liquid gelatin and whisk. Then add crushed crackers and soft raisins.

Step 4

Take a cake pan. Fill it with one-third of the sour cream cream and crackers. Sprinkle with chocolate crumbs. Pour more cream and again add chocolate. The final layer is cream with crackers. Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes.

Step 5

Take out the green grapes and rinse them under running water. Then remove the grapes from the stems and cut them in half with a sharp knife. Remove the set cake mixture from the refrigerator and place the grape halves on top of the solidified sour cream layer in neat rows. Pour the jelly over the top. If the jelly has already set, you can heat it for half a minute.

Step 6

Place the cake in the refrigerator for several hours to let it set completely. After that, take it out, dip the bottom and sides of the mold into hot water for a few seconds. Then place a plate on top of the cake and quickly flip it over. Cover with a second plate and flip once more. And here's the beautiful emerald cake we've got! And no baking required, mind you!
