Semolina dessert

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Everyone thinks semolina is only used to make porridge for children, but no... many desserts are made from it, for example, this Indian halva: tasty, inexpensive, and simple. Eastern sweets are always very pleasant to taste thanks to the use of spices, and this candy option is no exception. The ready dessert can be served at the table.

    Coarsely chop the pistachios and almonds with a knife and set aside for now.

    In a saucepan over low heat, melt fresh butter and, once it has completely melted, add all the semolina and stir until the semolina absorbs all the butter.

    Constantly stirring with a spatula, toast the semolina over low heat for 10–15 minutes until it turns light beige. Remove the pan from the heat.

    Add the prepared nuts and mix.

    Dissolve ground turmeric in warm milk, pour the milk into the semolina mixture, and mix thoroughly until the color is uniform.

    Add sugar and ground cardamom, mix well again. Cover the saucepan with a lid and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

    Roll the cooled mixture into walnut-sized balls and place them in paper tartlet cups. Ready to serve.
