Dessert with canned peaches
Description
To prepare a dessert from canned peaches, you'll need a bit of imagination and just a few minutes of your time. The only downside is the time required for the dessert to set. However, this sweet treat can be made in just a few minutes following this simple recipe. 1. You can use either dried or fresh mint. For fresh mint, 5-6 leaves will be enough. Pour boiling water (400 ml) over the mint and let it steep for 10–15 minutes. Then strain the infusion. 2. Add sugar, lemon juice, and gelatin to the warm mint infusion. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are completely dissolved. 3. Pat the peaches dry and slice them into thin pieces. If desired, you can cut the peaches into fancy shapes—provided you have the time and inclination. This can be done using metal cookie cutters. Such fun-shaped peaches would be perfect, for example, for a child's birthday party. 4. Place the peach slices into ramekins or small serving dishes. Pour the mint syrup with gelatin over them. Refrigerate for two hours. I usually wrap the ramekins in plastic wrap beforehand to prevent the dessert from absorbing unwanted odors from the refrigerator. The canned peach dessert is ready.
