Pear Dessert
Description
Of course, if this dessert is intended for very young children, it's better to avoid alcohol altogether. However, teenagers will be delighted by such a "grown-up" treat (the recipe calls for so little alcohol that moms can rest assured—the kids won't get drunk at all). For adults, this pear dessert will be the perfect accompaniment to coffee and that very same brandy—a teaspoon of which you'll add to the chocolate glaze—and also a reason to once again praise your culinary talents. In short, I guarantee there will be no dissatisfied guests! Pear dessert recipe: 1. Use a sharp knife to peel the lemon, removing only the outer, fragrant layer! Squeeze the lemon juice. 2. Pour 2/3 cup of water into a saucepan. When it boils, add the lemon juice, zest, sugar, and cinnamon. 3. Wash the pears and peel them. Cut each pear in half lengthwise, trying to leave the stem intact. Carefully remove the core and all seeds. 4. Place the pears into the boiling syrup and cook until tender (depending on the variety and ripeness of the pears, this may take 10–20 minutes). Be careful not to overcook them! 5. Turn off the heat and let the pears cool in the syrup, allowing them to absorb the flavor. 6. Warm the cream and melt the chocolate in it. Add the brandy and stir until smooth. 7. Place the pears on serving plates. Put a scoop of ice cream in the center of each pear half, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and serve garnished with fresh mint leaves, cinnamon sticks, etc. Enjoy and savor!
