Description

I like this pear and ice cream dessert for several reasons. First, it's very simple and quick to prepare—just a few accessible ingredients and no more than half an hour of your time. Third, it's truly DELICIOUS :) Pears and ice cream are a classic combination, for example, in traditional French cuisine, and this recipe relies exactly on that pairing.     We cut the zest from the lemon into thin strips.

    Take a saucepan, squeeze lemon juice into it, add the zest, pour in less than a full glass of water, add cinnamon and sugar. Bring to a boil.

    Meanwhile, peel the pears, but do not remove the stems. Carefully cut out the cores.

    Place the pears in boiling syrup and cook for about 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and let cool without discarding the syrup.

    Pour the cream into a small saucepan along with the chocolate broken into pieces. Place over low heat and simmer until the chocolate is completely dissolved.
