Delicious baked treat for the whole family. Making davonjin at home isn't as difficult as it seems. With this simple davonjin recipe, you'll surely succeed in making this Ossetian pie right the first time. Serve it cooled down or slightly warm.

Slightly warm the kefir, add the yeast, mix well and let stand for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.

Then, add salt, vegetable oil, and flour to the kefir-yeast mixture.

Now knead the dough. It should be slightly sticky. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it sit in a warm place for one and a half to two hours.

While the dough is rising, let's prepare the filling. Wash, dry, and chop the wild garlic.

Then grate the cheese on a grater.

Mix the wild garlic and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Shape the mixture into balls.

Divide the risen dough into balls as well. Roll each ball into a flat round and place a ball of filling on top.
