"Delicate Fingers" from Chocolate Dough
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a spoon to place the pastries onto the baking sheet, shaping them as elongated as possible. For decorating the dessert, you can use not only coconut flakes but also melted or grated chocolate. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Start preparing the dessert by gathering all the necessary ingredients. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance and cut it into pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Pour water into a deep saucepan or pot, add salt and chopped butter, and heat the mixture until boiling.
- 3
Step 3

While the butter is melting and the liquid mixture is heating, combine the flour and cocoa in a deep bowl, then transfer to a sieve.
- 4
Step 4

Sift the mixture of flour and cocoa into the hot oily liquid, quickly and thoroughly stirring the mass with a wooden spoon. Allow 2–3 minutes for cooking the dry ingredients, then remove the saucepan (sauté pan) from the heat.
- 5
Step 5

Place the prepared mixture into a large bowl, let it cool for a few minutes until warm, then beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

Add the baking powder to the resulting dough, mix again, and transfer to a piping bag.
- 7
Step 7

Pipe elongated pastries onto a baking sheet, leaving a small space between them. Bake the "lady fingers" in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

While the pastries are baking, prepare the cream. To do this, place the sour cream into a suitable container and gradually add condensed milk in portions, beating the ingredients with a mixer.
- 9
Step 9

When baked, chocolate cream puffs increase in size and become airy. Remove them from the baking sheet and let cool.
- 10
Step 10

Dip the chocolate pastries into the resulting cream and place them on a plate. If desired, decorate the dessert with coconut flakes.
- 11
Step 11

Serve "Lady Fingers" made from chocolate dough immediately after preparation, but it is advisable to refrigerate the dessert for several hours (overnight) to allow it to soak.
