Gypsy spicy soup
Description
Just imagine how delicious this soup could be if cooked over a campfire in the steppe, accompanied by gypsy songs and the crackling of flames. But don't be discouraged—we'll prepare an equally delicious soup at home, on a regular kitchen stove. It will be just as tasty.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare the soup, you will need: beef, pork, potatoes, onion, red chili pepper, red bell pepper, salt, sugar, water, vegetable oil, smoked bacon, spices, onion, tomatoes or tomato paste, dry red wine, and beans in tomato sauce.
- 2
Step 2

Dice both types of pepper. Peel and dice the onion. Cut the bacon into strips.
- 3
Step 3

Fry the bacon and onion in vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Cut two types of meat into small cubes.
- 5
Step 5

Add the meat to the onion and sauté everything together in its own juice.
- 6
Step 6

When the meat is browned, add a glass of wine to the pot. Simmer over low heat until the liquid reduces by half.
- 7
Step 7

Add tomatoes, diced, or tomato paste. You can choose depending on the season.
- 8
Step 8

Peel the potatoes. Cut into cubes and add to a pot.
- 9
Step 9

Pour water and cook for 15 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

By the end of cooking, the potatoes should be soft and the liquid slightly reduced. Add the canned beans with their sauce to the soup. You can prepare the beans at home separately. If you choose to cook the beans yourself, it's better to use several types (red and white).
- 11
Step 11

Add a little water to the pot. Bring to a boil. Salt the soup. Pepper it. Cook for 2-3 minutes and turn off.
- 12
Step 12

Chop the herbs, distribute them over plates. Pour in the soup and serve.
