Cauliflower on a Beer Can

60 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

It works for both holidays and everyday meals. To keep the cabbage juicy without pre-boiling it, I'll cook it on a can of beer. During baking, the beer will boil and steam into the cabbage, giving it flavor. After baking under the sauce, it becomes tender and spicy! Be sure to try cabbage baked on a beer can using my recipe — I hope you like it! Good luck

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

So, prepare the ingredients. Wash the beer can and the cauliflower thoroughly. Open the beer and pour off a glassful—you won't need it; the beer should boil while the cauliflower bakes, but not overflow.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Cut the stalk off the cabbage; you can even cut a little deeper, but be careful not to damage the florets. Remove the leaves.

    Step 3

Place a can of beer on a baking sheet and "set" the cabbage on top (it should be stable). Drizzle the cabbage generously with vegetable oil, salt it, and bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes. Temperature 180-190 degrees.

While the cabbage is baking, prepare the sauce. To do this, mix melted butter with hot tomato sauce, add pepper and garlic powder.

Mix thoroughly, the sauce is ready!

After 30 minutes, remove the cabbage from the oven—it should be lightly browned. That means it’s ready for the next step.

Pour the cabbage generously with sauce so that it gets between the florets as well. Return to the oven for 25 minutes.
