Cauliflower for a 1-year-old child
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. Place a pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. 2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower, wash it thoroughly, and break it into small florets. If the cauliflower is large, cut the florets with a knife. 3. Slightly salt the boiling water (only if salt is already included in the baby's diet; otherwise, skip salt when preparing cauliflower for a 1-year-old) and add the cauliflower. 4. Cook the cauliflower over medium heat for about 7–10 minutes. 5. Then transfer it to a colander, reserving a little cooking water. 6. Place the cauliflower in a blender and puree it. If the puree is too thick, add a little of the reserved water. 7. Transfer the puree to a small saucepan and place it back on the heat. 8. Add a little sour cream. 9. Grate the cheese and add it to the cauliflower (set aside a handful to sprinkle on top before serving—this will decorate the homemade cauliflower dish for a 1-year-old). 10. Mix everything together and heat gently, stirring constantly. 11. That's it—transfer the puree onto a serving plate, garnish with herbs, and serve it to your baby. Serve warm.
