Zucchini Fries
Description
The appetizer is quick and easy to make. I don't like zucchini. No, seriously — I barely eat zucchini in any form. One of the exceptions is zucchini fries. Essentially, this appetizer is very similar to the infamous McDonald's french fries — it looks similar, tastes similar, and is served with sauce. However, unlike french fries, homemade zucchini fries are a much less harmful and dangerous habit for your health. Interestingly, even our children liked the zucchini fries appetizer, and they don't just dislike zucchini — they don't really like vegetables in general. Give it a try! :) Serve with herbs and sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

We take the zucchini and wash it thoroughly.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the zucchini into thin, long wedges (like French fries).
- 3
Step 3

Place the zucchini in a plastic bag, add the flour and salt to the same bag. Mix well and set aside.
- 4
Step 4

Let's make the breading: mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
- 5
Step 5

In a separate small bowl, beat the egg. Take each piece of zucchini out of the bag and dip it first in the egg, then in the dry breading mixture.
- 6
Step 6

Place the breaded zucchini pieces on a rack, and line the area beneath the rack with foil so you don't dirty the oven. Put the rack in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200°C until the batter forms a golden crust.
- 7
Step 7

As soon as the batter turns golden and the crust becomes crispy, remove the zucchini from the oven and let cool on the same rack.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the appetizer with your favorite sauce.
