
Candied orange peel
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can use orange, tangerine, lemon, or grapefruit peels to make candied fruit. With this recipe, you'll not only enjoy the fruits you've bought, but also create excellent treats perfect for baking or other desserts. They have a wonderful taste and pleasant aroma; these homemade sweets are great for children or serving to guests. Serve chilled.

1. Cut the tangerine peels into small pieces of arbitrary shape, rinse under running water, then place them into an enameled or glass pot, pour cold water over them, and leave for 5 days, changing the water every day. Afterward, rinse the peels again, transfer them to the multicooker bowl, add enough water to cover, set the "Steam" program, and cook for 20 minutes.

2. Transfer the peels to a colander and rinse under a stream of running water.

3. Return to the bowl, sprinkle with sugar, pour water over, set the "Pilaf" program, and cook for two and a half hours.

4. After the program ends, use tongs or a fork to transfer the crusts onto a plate or cutting board, placing them separately from each other. Wait at least 4 hours for them to dry completely.

5. Roll the ready crusts in powdered sugar, serve immediately or place in a container for further storage.
