Lemon peel candied fruits
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Wash the lemons and peel them. Cut the lemon zest into thin slices, place in a saucepan, and soak in cold water for 2 days. Change the water periodically to remove any bitterness. Now prepare the syrup. Place a saucepan with 300 ml of water over heat, bring to a boil, and dissolve the sugar in it. Add the lemon peels to the sugar syrup, bring to a boil again, and cook in the boiling syrup for 10 minutes. Then simmer over medium heat with the lid off until all the water has completely evaporated. This will take about an hour. Remove the candied lemon peels and spread them out on a low baking sheet or a large cutting board. The candied peels will need to dry for almost the entire day, but they turn out incredibly delicious! Making sweets at home turns out to be very easy! They taste much better than store-bought ones. I often wrap my lemon peel candied treats in bright foil and give them to friends and family—an original and tasty gift! Try it yourself; I'm sure your candied peels will turn out just as amazing as mine, or maybe even better. Serve chilled.
