Classic orange peel candied fruit
Description
Homemade fruit candied peel is an excellent option for a dessert or a healthy afternoon snack for both children and adults. Citrus fruits work perfectly, so I highly recommend using them. Aromatic, very tasty and sweet—ideal, in my opinion.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Wash the oranges, dry them, and carefully peel off the skin.

Step 2

2. Carefully check to ensure no white part remains, otherwise the candied peel will be bitter. If necessary, trim it off with a sharp knife.

Step 7

7. Cut the crusts into neat strips.
- 8
Step 8

8. Let the syrup boil for about 5-7 minutes, then add the crusts.
- 9
Step 9

9. Reduce the heat to the minimum and let it simmer for about 40-45 minutes. Gently stir every 8-10 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

10. Drain the ready candied fruits on a colander and dry them.
- 11
Step 11

11. After that, they can be rolled in sugar on all sides.

Step 12

12. Or dip them in chocolate glaze, for example. A very cool dessert, especially for kids.
