Pineapple candied fruit
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Pineapple candied fruit takes a very long time to make. The actual cooking won't take much of your time, but drying and steeping the candied fruit lasts almost two days! Nevertheless, we are not afraid of difficulties. So here is a recipe for pineapple candied fruit. 1. Peel the pineapple and cut it into rounds, or halves if you prefer. 2. Pour water into a saucepan and add sugar. Cook a sweet syrup for 10–15 minutes. 3. Then put all the pineapple pieces into the syrup and cook for an hour, until the syrup begins to thicken. 4. You'll notice that the pineapple pieces are still not transparent, so they need to be left in the sugar syrup for another two days. 5. After that, bring the mixture to a boil again and cook in boiling syrup for 10 minutes. Then reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking until all the liquid has completely evaporated. Be careful not to burn the pineapple. Then place the pieces on a baking sheet or cutting board and leave them to dry. Drying the pineapple candied fruit takes about a day; to speed up the process, place the baking sheet near a radiator. The finished dessert is now ready to serve.
