Citrus cantucci with hazelnuts
Description
Homemade treats for tea. Of all Italian desserts, I like cantucci the most — delicious dry cookies that can be made with various fillings: nuts, raisins, figs, and so on. Even beginners in cooking will find them easy to prepare. Today, let's bake aromatic citrus cantucci with hazelnuts.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Here are all our ingredients for making delicious cantucci. I recommend making a double portion right away :)
- 2
Step 2

2. Mix the sifted flour with baking powder, add sugar, almond flour, and zest. Stir and add one whole egg and the yolk from a second egg. Knead the dough.
- 3
Step 3

3. Add the chopped nuts and knead the dough thoroughly.
- 4
Step 4

4. Divide the dough into two parts and shape into bars about 4 cm wide. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the dough bars on it. Even them out, and I immediately shape the edges slightly diagonally, since cantucci will be sliced diagonally.

Step 6

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Remove and let cool for about 5 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

7. Then, using a sharp knife, cut diagonally into 1 cm thick slices.
- 8
Step 8

8. Place back on the baking sheet and return to the oven for another 10 minutes. The cantucci should brown nicely. That's it :)
