Description
Homemade sauce recipe. The ingredient list is given for two 0.5-liter containers. You can take the sauce in jars with you on a trip, picnic, or to work—it can be served with boiled pasta, instant noodles, boiled buckwheat, etc. This sauce is typically prepared during tomato season, with either dill or cilantro added, according to taste. Serve the sauce with meat, fish, or use it as a salad dressing.

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Wash the tomatoes in water, remove the cores, and grate on a grater. Remove the skin.

Peel and rinse the onion, then chop it finely. Heat a non-stick cauldron or saucepan, pour in vegetable oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 2–3 minutes until lightly browned, but do not overcook.

Pour in the tomato mixture and simmer everything for about 10-15 minutes.

Add salt and sugar, ground paprika and hot red pepper, ground black pepper.

Wash the fresh herbs, chop them finely, and add to the container. Pour in the vinegar and simmer for another 3–5 minutes. At this point, sterilize the jars and lids using any method convenient for you.

Place the Tsitsiburi sauce into hot jars, filling to the top.

Immediately seal with a screw-on lid using a canning key, or press firmly, let the preparation cool down, then transfer to a storage location.
