
Churros (Churros)
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. This dish is made from choux pastry and fried in oil. It is very good served with hot chocolate.

1. Bring the water to a boil, add pieces of butter and salt.

2. In a large bowl, mix the cinnamon with the flour. Gradually add the flour mixture into the hot water, stirring constantly to form a smooth, elastic dough, reducing the heat. Knead the dough until it pulls away from the sides of the pot. Remove the pot from the heat.

3. Now lightly beat the eggs, then gradually add them to the dough while continuing to whisk. Beat until the dough becomes glossy.

4. Transfer the prepared choux pastry for baking into a pastry bag (large star-shaped tip).

5. For frying, heat oil in a deep skillet. Squeeze the batter into the hot oil (four to five rings), cutting the dough off the nozzle with a wet sharp knife (or scissors). Fry for one to two minutes on each side until golden brown.

6. Remove with a slotted spoon onto prepared paper towels and let dry. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Churros are ready.
