
Chudu with Pumpkin
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Chudu with pumpkin – tasty and original flatbreads made from unleavened dough. If you love pumpkin but don’t know what to make with it, use my recipe. The Dagestani dish – chudu – will definitely please you. Today I used pumpkin for the filling, but you can also use boiled potatoes or meat. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Prepare the ingredients for making chudu with pumpkin.

For the dough, mix the flour with salt and pour in the water.

Knead a soft yet elastic dough that won't stick to your hands.

For the filling, dice the onion finely and grate the pumpkin. Sauté the vegetables in vegetable oil.

Fry the filling for 4–5 minutes over medium heat, add salt to taste, stir, remove from heat and let it cool completely.

Add finely chopped dill to the fried pumpkin with onion and stir. The filling is ready.

Divide the dough into 5 equal parts, roll them out thinly like chebureks. Place a spoonful of filling on one half.

Fold the edge of the flatbread and press the edges together – it looks like chebureks.

Sauté the chudu in a dry pan over medium heat – fry for 1–2 minutes.

Remove the hot chudu from the pan and brush with butter.

Serve the chudu flatbreads immediately at the table.
