
Chudu with Potato and Cheese

Prepare all the ingredients.

Sift the flour into a deep bowl.

Add baking soda and salt to the kefir. Mix.

Pour the kefir into a bowl with the flour and knead a smooth dough that should not stick to your hands.

Roll the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and leave for 30 minutes.

For the filling, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain the water and let cool slightly.

Grate the potato on a grater. Add the grated cheese and melted butter. Salt to taste. Divide the filling into 4 equal parts.

Divide the dough into 4 parts as well. Roll each piece into a ball.

Lightly roll out a ball of dough, place the filling in the centre, and gather the edges toward the centre. Repeat the same with the remaining balls. Cover the filled flatbreads with plastic wrap and leave for 10–15 minutes.

Then carefully roll out each flatbread to the diameter of the frying pan.

Pan-fry the flatbreads in a dry skillet until golden brown on both sides.
