Chicken Chips with Soy Sauce in a Dehydrator
Description
The finished chips should dry thoroughly and not be sticky to the touch. They make a wonderful snack or appetizer with a frothy drink, and are an excellent substitute for dried fish. Chicken fillet is best bought from trusted suppliers; it is even better if it comes from your own home-raised chicken. You can add and combine spices to suit your taste. Use only high-quality soy sauce—then the chips will have just the right flavor and saltiness.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making chicken chips with soy sauce in a dehydrator.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the chicken breast into thin slices 5 mm thick. Place the meat in a bowl, add the spices, and pour in the soy sauce. Mix everything well and refrigerate for 8–10 hours. During this time, the chicken pieces will marinate and absorb the sauce.

Step 3

Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on the dehydrator tray in a single layer, without overlapping them.
- 4
Step 4

Dry the chips at 50 degrees for 6–8 hours. During this time, it is advisable to swap the trays and rotate them for even drying. Remove the finished chips from the trays and serve.
