Garlic Pampushki with Kefir
Description
It pairs perfectly with tea and coffee. I'm eager to share a very successful recipe for garlic pampushky. The pastry is tender, fluffy, literally melts in your mouth! These pampushky can be served not only with borscht, but also with any hot dishes as an alternative to bread. Take note of the recipe.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Add sugar and yeast to warm kefir. Stir and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Then mix again and pour the yeast mixture into a deep bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Add 1 egg, beat the second one slightly and put half of it into the bowl (the other half will be used later to glaze the buns). Then add salt and oil.
- 5
Step 5

Mix everything together and add the flour in portions.
- 6
Step 6

Knead a soft dough, shape it into a ball, coat it with vegetable oil, and cover the bowl with a towel; let it rest in a warm place for 1.5 hours. If the dough sticks heavily to your hands during kneading, you can add about 1–2 tablespoons of flour.
- 7
Step 7

The risen dough must be kneaded.
- 8
Step 8

Divide the dough into 10–12 pieces, shape them into balls, and place them on a butter‑greased baking sheet, leaving some space between each. Cover and let rest for another 40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Brush the risen pampushky with egg and bake in the oven at 200 °C for 30 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Combine water, oil, and garlic pressed through a press. Add chopped dill and 1‑2 pinches of salt. Mix everything well.
- 11
Step 11

Take the ready pampushky out of the oven, still hot, and brush them with the prepared garlic sauce.
- 12
Step 12

The aroma — impossible to resist!
