Garlic pampushki

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Garlic pampushky are very popular in Ukraine, where I'm from. This taste has been familiar to me since childhood—I often had them baked by my grandmother. She always made the dough in triple quantity because they're so delicious you can't stop eating them. I hope you'll enjoy this simple recipe for garlic pampushky, and instead of rushing to the store for bread, you'll bake pampushky at home. Serve them warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

    Mix warm water and milk. Add sugar and dissolve the yeast in this mixture. Let it stand until the yeast has risen like this.

    Add eggs to the sifted flour. We will need 1 yolk for brushing the buns, so you can also mix the white from the third egg into the dough.

    Add the yeast mixture and salt to the flour and eggs. Knead until you get an elastic dough. To make kneading easier, grease your hands with vegetable oil.

    Cover the dough with a towel, place it in a warm spot, and let it rise.

    The dough has risen, divide it into portions and shape into balls.

    Place the future pampushki into a baking dish or on a baking sheet. If you want the pampushki to be crispier, use a larger pan and place the dough balls at a distance from each other. Let them rise slightly in a warm place, then brush with egg yolk.

    Bake at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.

    While the buns are baking, let's prepare the garlic mixture. Wash and finely chop the dill. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press.

    Mix vegetable oil, dill, and garlic. You can add a little salt.

    We take the ready pampushki out of the oven, let them rest for about 10 minutes, then brush them with the garlic mixture and serve :)
