Description

Homemade sauce recipe. Garlic paste recipe: 1. Peel the garlic. Pass the cloves through a garlic press or grind in a food processor. 2. Mix the resulting mass with salt. Make sure the salt dissolves completely. 3. Gradually, while stirring, add water, lemon juice, and half a cup of oil to form an emulsion. Slowly incorporate the remaining oil, making sure to keep stirring. 4. Place the paste in the refrigerator overnight to allow the flavors to blend. That's it—your garlic paste is ready! This recipe yields approximately 500 g of garlic paste. Store in sealed containers or jars in the refrigerator. The paste will keep for over four weeks. Of course, you might eat it sooner. Garlic paste can be used in many ways: for making sandwiches, pizza sauce, roasting meat, or as a standalone sauce for cold and hot appetizers. I often add garlic paste to soups or stews. Overall, it's a universal paste, and its convenience lies in always having it on hand—no need to peel and crush garlic repeatedly. My husband says the classic garlic paste recipe came to us from Armenia. Well, thank you, Armenians, for this wonderful recipe! By the way, if desired (and if you plan to use it quickly), you can add fresh herbs to the paste. Stay healthy and enjoy your meals!
