
Black and white cookies
Description
Perfect for serving with tea and coffee. Recipe for cookies with dark chocolate and white sugar glaze. This recipe yields about 2 dozen very large cookies or 60 medium-sized cookies. Can be served with tea or coffee.

1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Lightly grease two baking sheets with oil and line them with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter together using a mixer. Add eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice, mixing until smooth. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, mixing well after each addition.

2. Using a spoon, place mounds of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 5 cm apart. Bake until edges are browned, 18-20 minutes. Let cool.

3. Boil a cup of water in a small saucepan. Pour the powdered sugar into a large bowl. Add enough boiling water to form a thick, sticky mixture. Stir. Spread the glaze on half of the flat side of each cookie.

4. Pour the remaining glaze into a saucepan with the remaining water and bring to a boil over low heat. Add the chocolate and stir until melted, then add the corn syrup. At this point, you can add cocoa to the glaze to make the color more intense. Spread the chocolate glaze onto the remaining cookie halves. Store in an airtight container for several days.
