Description

Preserving time is a busy season for every homemaker. If you do not have time to stand in the kitchen for long, then take this simple no-sterilization cherry recipe to heart. 1. First, wash the berries. Remove the stems and sort through the cherries so that spoiled or wormy ones do not end up in the jar. 2. Drain the well-rinsed cherries in a colander and let them drain thoroughly. 3. Pour water into a large pot and put it on the heat. 4. Wash the jars thoroughly as well and let them dry a little. 5. Put berries into each jar. They can fill about a third of the jar if you are making compote, or fill the jar completely for preserving the berries in syrup. 6. Sprinkle sugar on top. The amount of sugar depends on your taste preferences and how sweet the berries are. I would like to note that if you wish, you can preserve cherries without adding sugar. 7. Add citric acid to the jar. If you are using a one-liter jar, about one third of a teaspoon. 8. When the water boils, you can pour it into the jars and seal them right away. 9. That is the entire simple no-sterilization cherry recipe. Leave the jar upside down until it has cooled completely, then store it in a dark, cool place. The jars keep for up to a year in a cool place.
