
Lentils with coriander and garlic
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This aromatic lentils can be served as a side dish with meat or baked fish for lunch or dinner. It cooks quickly, in just 20 minutes. If desired, cilantro and garlic can be finely chopped and mixed with vegetable oil in advance, then added to the prepared dish. Serve hot.

Prepare the listed ingredients. If fresh cilantro is not available, you can use ground dried coriander instead.

Pour the lentils into a deep container and cover with water. Rinse several times until the liquid remains clear.

Transfer it to a cauldron, saucepan, or ladle with a non-stick bottom. Add salt and ground black pepper. Pour in hot water and simmer for about 20 minutes over medium heat.

Pour in vegetable oil, preferably cold-pressed olive oil.

Rinse a quarter of a bunch of fresh coriander and peel the garlic cloves. Finely chop them together and add to the container with the cooked lentils. Mix well, cover with a lid, and let it steam for about 5 minutes so the dish can absorb the flavors and aromas of the ingredients.
