Pour the melted butter into a saucepan or a deep skillet. Bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to the lowest setting.

Sift the flour through a sieve and gradually add it to the melted butter, one spoonful at a time, thoroughly mixing after each addition. Keep stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Constantly stirring, simmer the mixture over low heat until it thickens, develops a characteristic aroma, and turns light brown in color.

Add powdered sugar to the resulting mass in portions. Then heat it on the stove for another three to four minutes.

Place the prepared mixture into a pan lined with parchment paper or a napkin. Smooth and press it down firmly. While still warm, cut the mixture into squares or rectangles. Then place a half nut on each square, pressing it down slightly.
