Beef Chebureki
Description
It pairs perfectly with tea and coffee. Chebureki are a very tasty homemade dish, beloved in many families. There are hundreds, if not more, recipes for making them. Each housewife has her own secret recipe, and I’m sharing mine.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Beat the egg with salt, add 100 grams of vegetable oil, mix, set aside.
- 3
Step 3

Sift the flour into a mixing bowl, make a well, pour in 1 cup of boiling water, and stir.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the prepared butter‑egg mixture and stir well again.
- 5
Step 5

Spread the flour mixture on the table and knead the dough by hand. Wrap it in plastic wrap, let the dough "rest" while you work on the filling.
- 6
Step 6

If the ground meat was prepared without onions (as in my case), finely chop the onion, season with salt and pepper, mix well, and beat.
- 7
Step 7

Roll half of the dough into a sausage shape and cut it into pieces.
- 8
Step 8

When working with choux pastry, you no longer need to dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the dough into a sheet, place the filling on one half, spreading it evenly over the dough.
- 9
Step 9

Trim the edge with a serrated knife if the dough hasn't sealed well. Pinch the edges with your fingers so the cheburek doesn't open while frying.
- 10
Step 10

Prepare the chebureks for frying.
- 11
Step 11

Fry the chebureks in a sufficient amount of vegetable oil, adding it in portions as needed, over medium heat on both sides until done.
- 12
Step 12

Place the finished chebureks on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- 13
Step 13

Serve the chebureks hot; they’re incredibly tasty, and you can’t stop eating them.
