Prepare all the ingredients.

Wash the apples, peel them, and remove the cores. Cut into small cubes.

Peel the garlic and ginger, then grate finely. Cut the onion into small cubes.

Place all the ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Pour in the apple cider vinegar, add all the spices and raisins. Bring to a boil.

After boiling, reduce the heat and simmer the sauce over low heat for about 45-50 minutes, until soft. Stir occasionally to prevent the chutney from burning.

Remove cinnamon and cloves from the chutney. Spoon the sauce into clean sterilized jars. Seal with lids, wrap in a kitchen towel, and let cool completely.
