
Pineapple chutney
Description
A delicious addition to everyday and festive dishes. Once we had a pineapple lying around at home and didn't know what to do with it. We found a recipe for pineapple chutney online and decided to give it a try. We made it—and really liked it. The sauce turned out delicious; we served it with french fries and chips, which was a very interesting combination. However, if desired, pineapple chutney can also be served with hot dishes and meat. It's perfect with pasta, meat, and vegetables.

Step 1

Peel the pineapple and grate it on a grater.

Salt the pineapple mixture.

Using a blender, blend until smooth.

Add vinegar, ginger, pepper, and sugar to the pan.

Bring to a boil and remove from heat.

In another saucepan, bring the oil to a boil.

Add the pineapple mixture and the contents of the skillet to the boiling oil. Stir.

Simmer until thickened, then remove from heat, cool, transfer to jars, and store in the refrigerator.
