Chak-chak without vodka
Description
This is a classic recipe for making chak-chak without vodka. In this recipe, I've replaced vodka with brandy, which, in my opinion, gives chak-chak a wonderful aroma and makes the dough balls even crispier. Chak-chak is served after chilling in the refrigerator. It's delicious with hot tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Beat the eggs and add brandy to them, mix.
- 3
Step 3

Add a little more than half of the flour and mix. There should be no lumps.
- 4
Step 4

Add more flour and knead the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Separate small pieces of dough (about the size of an egg). Roll each piece into a long, thin sausage.
- 6
Step 6

Let the "sausages" rest for ten minutes. Then finely chop them with a knife dusted with flour.
- 7
Step 7

Now pour a generous amount of vegetable oil into a pan, heat it to the highest temperature, and fry the pieces of dough until they turn a beautiful yellow color.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the resulting balls with a slotted spoon.
- 9
Step 9

Place the balls on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
- 10
Step 10

Warm the honey with sugar in a water bath.
- 11
Step 11

Dip the balls in honey syrup and carefully place them on a plate. Moisten your hands and shape them into a mound.
